Concealed safety for Navara

Hi-jacking has become a nerve-racking reality of driving in South Africa.

The cost of protecting oneself against this, well, let’s just say most vehicle owners simply cannot afford the option.

For those working in high risk environments like commercial, property and personal security, SVI Engineering, now offers a range of armoured options for specific vehicle brands. Their latest offer has been designed for the Nissan Navara.

SVI refers to it as level B6 protection. It is a concealed package but offers full protection against AK47s, R5s and R1 bullets.

“Earlier this year, SVI Engineering introduced a non-discreet B6 Stopgun V2.0 kit for the Navara, garnering plenty of interest from South Africa’s security industry. With civilian buyers in mind, we have now also developed a B6 discreet package specifically for the Rosslyn-produced bakkie,” says Nicol Louw, business development director of SVI.

To the untrained eye, the latter is far more difficult to detect, allowing private individuals to fly under the radar while still enjoying full B6 protection.

Cost and build time

The B6 discreet armouring solution for the Nissan Navara double-cab is priced from R707 888 (excluding VAT) and build time, says SVI, is about three months.
