He recently bagged a role in a new Netflix movie.

Khulekani Manqele, a Daveyton-based actor, has come a long way to get where he is now.

According to Manqele, he fell in love with acting when he was in matric in 2007.

“In 2008, I started my acting career at a church where I performed biblical plays. The same year I landed an acting role in a community organisation play called Bonakala Sports Arts and Culture,” said Manqele.

He has studied dance, drama and poetry at the Fuba School of Dramatic and Visual Arts. In 2013, he furthered his acting and voice training studies with Triple Take Production under Dorathy Aan Gould.

Manqele said in 2014 he joined Zane’s Artist Management, a casting agency, where he pursued his acting career on television. He has since become the head talent scout and a director of the agency.

The 33-year-old has featured on telenovela Diep City as Ngcobo and has recently bagged an acting role in a new Netflix movie.
