Read … Jeremy Clarkson and Michael McIntrye

Two of our favourite, and jolly entertaining, stars share all.

It’s 2006 and Michael McIntrye has just had his big break at the Royal Variety Performance. Waking up the next morning in the tiny flat where he lives with his wife and young son, he’s beyond excited. He’s in the new, glam world of showbusiness. He is also, rather unfortunately, clueless! In A Funny Life, this brilliant and hilarious star shares the highs and lows of his life. A life which has, he says, been silly, stressful, moving, sometimes touching, but always funny!  Pan Macmillan

We do enjoy Jeremy Clarkson. Whether driving fast cars, hosting Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, or writing about this farm, DIddly Squat. The farm may be glorious, set in an idyllic spot with gorgeous views across the  Cotswolds, all hedgerows and woodlands and natural springs, but it’s not all a bunch of English roses. Faced with suffocating red tape, biblical weather, local objections, a global pandemic and his own frankly staggering ignorance of how to ‘do farming’, Jeremy soon realises that turning the farm around is going to take more than splashing out on a massive tractor.
