The 31-year-old is a photographer, graphic designer, videographer, event specialist, online content creator and publisher.

He said he is also the founder and content editor of The CreActive Magazine, an online platform celebrating creatives and the creative world through content creation.

“Being chosen to be part of the best 120 artpreneurs from 1 885 participants entirely based on my idea and brand is a big deal for me. This means I am onto something and I should keep going,” said Bonolo.

“Through this programme, I have learned how to be an entrepreneur and how to play a role in growing the South African economy.”

The former Dinoto Technical Secondary School learner is fascinated by how ideas can come to life.

He said he is amazed by how one can be able to transfer what is in their mind to the physical world.

“It is mind-blowing. No pun intended. The process made me fall in love with art. The world needs more artists, I believe every problem in the world can be or is solved by a creative mind.

“It is only now that we find platforms/organisations that create opportunities for artists, especially in the townships. As an artist, you need to learn to be patient and you need a collaborative mind to survive. We are mostly taken for granted, which leads to us being underpaid.”

His next mission is to be part of the top 18, to continue growing his online magazine and keep creating content that celebrates creatives.
