TV weekly must watch

We’ve rounded up three great shows you should keep an eye out for this week.

Start with a Spanish mystery thriller about a literature teacher that seeks justice against a surgeon she claims date-raped her. Then follow a husband, teacher and father who is sentenced to four years in prison after accidentally killing a man. Or get ready for a touch of glam, a lot of love and family and serious business in a reality series that follows a mother-daughter duo.

Lies and Deceit centres around a literature teacher. She wakes up one morning with the niggling suspicion that she was date-raped by a well-renowned surgeon. The mystery-thriller series looks back at this particular encounter. Simultaneously, you will also see this teacher seeking justice against the surgeon in an ongoing legal case but the surgeon denies her account of what happened. It is a given that this Spanish series intends to tell us both sides of the story, which will leave you wondering as to who the real liar is. Now showing on Netflix

British prison drama Time follows Mark Cobden, a husband, teacher and father who is sentenced to four years in prison after accidentally killing a man. Consumed by guilt, Mark openly accepts his sentence but is quickly confronted with the harsh realities of life inside. The series also follows prison officer Eric McNally, who endeavours to protect those in his care, but finds that his job can be demanding in a tense and understaffed environment. Both Mark and Eric are faced with difficult choices as they fight for survival. Watch it on M-Net, channel 101 every Tuesday at 10:30pm.

Madam & Mercy is a reality series about their dynamic relationship as mother and daughter. Their lavish lifestyle, their designer labels, but most importantly, their close-knit family values. Now showing on Showmax.
