A brush with local artists: meet Lizette Scheepers

The Benoni Art Route exhibition is held every last Sunday of the month at the CR Swart Park from 10:00 to 15:00.

Benoni resident Lizette Scheepers started painting and expressing herself at a young age.

The 29-year-old said her passion grew when she started attending art classes, presented by Lynette Schuld, and, ultimately, chose a career path in graphic design.

Her art style ranges from abstract to still life. Lizette is fond of experimenting with pen and pencil drawings, which showcase more of her graphic design talents.

Her main medium is acrylic, but the artists wants to venture into mixed media art.

“I love art, as it gives me an outlet to be creative by creating beautiful long-lasting images I and others can enjoy,” she said.

“My work is unique, I believe, because of the vibrant, unexpected colours I use when creating my pieces.”

Benoni Art Route is open to anyone with a passion for drawing, painting and sculpture.
