Cloverdene artists continue to pursue their music dream

In 2005 they recorded their first album, Never Rolls 26.

Cloverdene artists Sanele ‘Samza’ Maphanga (46) and Nhlanhla ‘Mabbisto’ Mdaka (51), better known as World-Kings, have always had their hearts set on the art of music.

The duo recently released their new single titled, Bathini, which is available on digital platforms.

The single was produced by Nhlanhla and was written by both of them. They are working on their album God Still, which will be released later in the year.

In 2018 they changed their name from African Prince to World-Kings.

Sanele and Nhlanhla met in 1995 after a neighbour brought them together so they can start a band.

Sanele said they started their musical journey as a duo in 1996 when other members of the band left.

These producers were inspired to delve deeper into music by the music they heard in church.

Nhlanhla said they have always loved music and draw inspiration from personal experiences and their surroundings.

They are both composers, producers, songwriters, arrangers and rappers.

In 2005 they recorded their first album Never Rolls 26, which was recorded at Ray Reed Music production in Mpumalanga. The album was not successful due to financial constraints experienced at the time.

The rappers are an encouragement for each other to work hard to fulfil their dreams.

The single will be available on all digital platforms. To download the single visit https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/worldkings/bathini
