Former Benonian Nastassia Arendse (32) is on the verge of becoming a household name, as she strives to make the world of finance more accessible to the general public.
She is a business news anchor at the SABC.
The financial journalist has also worked at CNBC Africa, SkyTV’s Freeview and Connect TV.
Nastassia studied electrical engineering after completing her matric in 2006.
She wanted to be in the media space but did not know how to get there, and her parents were not going to pay for her to study for a degree in media studies. However, with perseverance she studied financial journalism at Wits to pursue her dream.
