BMW South Africa is introducing its Mzansi Edition X3 SUV that spawns more athletic dimension as well as a range of sportier features.
On the outside, the X3 Mzansi Edition is fitted with an M Sport package that adds M high-gloss shadow line, blacked-out kidney grille and frame, M carbon wing mirror caps as well as red M Sport brake callipers.
The rear wing spoiler is finished in high-gloss black while the exhaust accents are finished in black chrome. The rear diffuser also gets the high-gloss treatment.
The Mzansi Edition is available in five colours and comes standard with a fully electrically operated tow hitch. Inside the cabin, familiar but welcome appointments, thanks to the standard M Sport package, a panorama glass sunroof, ambient lighting, BMW Live Cockpit Professional and wireless charging (for compatible smartphones).
Powering the BMW X3 Mzansi Edition is a four-cylinder turbodiesel engine with 140 kW and 400 Nm of torque. The model hurtles from a stop to 100 km/h in 8.0 seconds before hitting the limiter at 213 km/h.
The engine is paired with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission that sends power to both axles via the standard xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system.
The recommended retail price for the BMW X3 xDrive20d Mzansi Edition is R1 005 900,00 (excluding CO2 tax).
