Metro to consult the public on its rental housing

The syndicate broadcast will be live and streamed on Kasie FM, EK FM and Eden Radio

The Ekurhuleni metro is conducting public consultations for council-owned rental housing stock as resolved by council on July 25.

The consultative process is to discuss rates paid by pensioners and paying tenants and defaulting tenants.

The payment policy escalation of rent payable is capped at a maximum margin of 5.9 per cent per annum for 2020/2021 and 2021/2022.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, public participation will be done through syndicated live community radio broadcast and the City’s social media platforms on September 2 from 6pm to 7pm.

The syndicate broadcast will be live and streamed on Kasie FM, EK FM and Eden Radio.
