“I have a passion for telling community stories. I am a firm believer of the impossible, for it always seems impossible until it is done.”

The 29-year-old said he felt that it would be gratifying to have a platform where the beauty of his community and its people is broadcasted on the community’s very own channel for everyone to see.

“The Daveyton community has talent as well as people who are doing amazing things. There is so much happening in our community as people are winning in different aspects and we want everyone to see it on our very own channel,” said Khoza.

The founder of Daveyton TV, Petros ?Daddy? Khoza, started the television channel to help showcase local talent.

“The channel has several shows which are educational, and mind empowering talk shows such as Kasi talent profiling local artists and selling them to the world, create a platform to showcase fresh new talent.

“We have a show where we inspire men to be driven to live a Godly purpose life. Our shows are all about inspiring the community to become the best they can be and live a healthy lifestyle.

“This youngster has created employment for the youth in the community by training and equipping them with skills.

“Most of our crew and talent that we work with are trained by us, and we employ them, a lot of up-and-coming artists have a platform now, where they can publish their work and showcase talent.

“We also have a school programme in which we provide mentoring to young boys and girls, by developing their skills and helping them to choose careers wisely. We also help local businesses to advertise on our platform so they can reach more people.

“During the lockdown, we provided local churches a platform to continue preaching the word of God even during these trying times,” he said.

Lastly, he added that the channel started from humble beginnings but continues to grow from strength to strength.

“The community is slowly adapting to the digital world and the support is amazing. They support our online campaigns and follow the channel on YouTube, they even visit our office often,” he said.

“In a few years we want to be the main media publishing company in the world, we want to offer our services globally, reaching all corners of the world with local talent, entertainment and by inspiring other people to dream bigger.”
