New Kia Seltos destined for SA

Kia has announced that the new Seltos will be added to their model range in the second half of November this year.

The compact SUV segment is ever-growing and after its international debut in India earlier this year the new Seltos will be making its local debut in the second half of November this year. “Seltos is a truly exciting new addition to the KIA line-up in South Africa. As South Africa’s love affair with SUVs continues to grow, we are very excited that we can now offer another progressive, high-quality KIA model in a very competitive segment,” Gary Scott, CEO, KIA Motors South Africa.

Recently Kia invested $1 billion (R14.8 billion) in a new production facility located in Anantapur in India’s Andra Pradesh province. The units destined for SA will form part of the annual production capacity of 300,000 units of this particular facility. The new Seltos has garnered a lot of interest locally with more than 3 000 people requesting to try the new model once it lands, similarly to the market reaction in India where Kia secured a record first-day pre-bookings of 6 046 units. Two lucky South African customers will stand a chance of winning an international trip where on one of the winners will visit the home of Kia in South Korea for a unique K-Pop experience including VIP attendance to the international K-Pop Music Awards in Seoul while the second winner will have experience the Australian Open in Melbourne in January.

More information on the specification and pricing will be released closer to the on-sale date.
