Peermont Charity Mile is back

Sixteen horses, 16 charities, five feature races, and R1-million to be shared is on the cards at the Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile at the Turffontein Racecourse on November 2.

The 16 charities are each paired with a racehorse and a celebrity who will cheer them on at the event.

The winning charity will receive R150 000, second place R100 000 and the remaining 14 charities will receive proportionate amounts of the total, depending on their allocated horses’ overall placement.

The Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile Barrier and Charity draw, which paired the lane, celebrity and charity to a horse, was determined at Emperors Palace on October 23.

This year, the noble steeds, lane, charities and celebrities that will compete are:
