Charity shop makeover complete

This episode of the programme will air on kykNET in December.

Four days of teamwork finally paid off after The Animal Guardians (Tag) got to see the finished product on October 22 of the makeover they received from the kykNET property makeover show Vat Jou Goed en Trek.

Henck Conrey, presenter, creator and producer of the show, said that this was the most emotional reveal they had ever had in the last five years.

“I felt the goodness of the people in the institution. Their goodness is overwhelming, you can feel the love.”

He jokingly added: “I cried in this episode and I never cry on television.”

Presenter and interior designer Candice Weber added that all they did was give a pretty face to an already beautiful heart.

The charity shop has a more welcoming feel to it after the makeover. All clothing items were put on hangers and placed in neat piles, while tables were put in the centre of the room, displaying items that were once hidden on the shelf.

Re/Max broker Marika Grové said this was one of the biggest projects they had ever taken on.

“We are tired, but it was all worth it at the end of the day.”

Tag director Annalise Jungmann said that they were overwhelmed and couldn’t say thank you enough to everyone who helped make this happen.

“We were homeless for these past few days, but we are thankful.”
