Truck convoy against cancer

Potjiekos enthusiasts can also showcase their culinary prowess in the potjiekos competition, also taking place at the event.

The annual Prostate Cancer Awareness Truck Convoy will be chugging through the streets of Boksburg to Carnival City on November 3

The aim is to raise awareness of prostate cancer and generate funds for More Balls Than Most, the brother company to Pink Drive which provides prostate cancer screening and other services.

There will be live entertainment, jumping castles for the children and a strongman competition where muscle-bound competitors will be pulling trucks and Land Cruisers, flipping giant tyres and carrying suitcases.

The competition starts at 9am and potjies must be ready for judging by 2.30pm

Pink Drive and More Balls than Most will be staging a Spray or Shave in aid of breast and prostate cancer awareness.

Cancer screening and testing units will be available on site at an additional cost.

Entrance to the event on the Festival Lawns is R30 per person but children under six enter for free.

People can be part of the dramatic convoy (in Boksburg) by purchasing a bus ticket for R50.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to More Balls Than Most.

If you have not yet registered to take part in the convoy with your truck or if you want to exhibit on the day of the event contact Sarita on 083 468 2140 or email info@orliflex.co.za
