Congratulations to Ellen Nkosi who is the winner of the BCT/ Emperors palace competition.
Ellen is the winner of one dinner a month for two at Rosetta’s for three months (October, November and December) and a one-night stay for two at the Peermont Metcourt, including breakfast, for three months (October, November and December).
Ellen correctly answered the two questions about the age of Emperors Palace (20) and that the casino is known as The Palace of Dreams.

• I have been living in Benoni for the last 29 years – so yes I am proud to say I am bred in Benoni.

• I love Benoni because it is surrounded by friendly and beautiful people.
• I love Benoni because it has lots of amenities so you don’t struggle when you need to go to a shopping mall, school, shops etc.
• I love Benoni because Charlize Theron and the Princess of Monaco are from Benoni.
• I love the Bunny Park – pity it is closed.
• I love going to watch soccer at Old Bens.
• I love the Ciello restaurant by The Lakes – it has a different vibe.
• I love Benoni because entertainment is plenty.
• Benoni is blessed with a mixture of different people and cultures.
• There was a movie based here in Benoni – “Straight Outtta Benoni”.
• We have a musical academy called Sibikwa Arts Centre.
• My favourite restaurants are Fahrenheit and Jerry’s Café – which is found in Benoni.
• We have orphanages and frail care centres.
• We have one of the best bird’s sanctuaries – Korsmans Conservancy.
• We also have our own museum on Elston Avenue.
• We have Willowmoore Park which hosts the provincial and one-day international cricket.
• All in all, I love Benoni because of its diversity.
