Lonehill Estate not to be missed

If laughing and dancing are what you want out of an evening, then Lonehill Estate is the band you need to get everybody on the dance floor.

This is the expectation band members Mark van den Berg (base), Herman Rosslee (drummer), Nathan Ro (lead vocalist) and Danny Robson (lead guitarist) want festival-goers to have at The Festival happening on May 12.

“Lonehill Estate is one the top performing live bands in South Africa, with their mischievous rock sound poking fun at current affairs and the music industry,” said the members.

Van den Berg calls their performance tongue-in-cheek anecdotes and eye-twitchingly good music.

Although the band was established in 2005, in 2012 Lonehill Estate found fame when they had five consecutive number one hits on 5FM.

The band has performed internationally and alongside music heroes like Bob Dylan, Muse, Korn, Good Charlotte, 30 Seconds to Mars and many more.

“After years of criticism for being too eclectic, Lonehill Estate focused their sound on what became known as The Green Album,” the members said.

Tickets are on sale at St Dunstan’s College, the Benoni City Times and Oasis Water in Oakfields and Rynfield shopping centres at the cost of R200 per person for a general access ticket until May 11.
