Have any concerns about The Festival? Hopefully these answers will ease your mind.

The Festival @ St Dunstan’s, in conjunction with the Benoni City Times, is drawing near and we look forward to partying with you on May 12.

Event organiser Paul Smith answered some of the frequently asked questions regarding The Festival.

Q: What can be brought onto the premises?

A: Umbrellas, blankets, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, good vibes and a positive attitude.

Q: What can I not bring in?

A: Weapons, drugs, hubblies, chairs, gazebos or tents.

Q: Will food stalls be available?

A: Food can only be bought on the premises and yes, there will be several food stalls to choose from.

Q: Will there be alcohol available?

A: The Liquor City Garden will be open again and there will be a coffee zone to relax in.

Q: Will there be parking for my car?

A: There is limited parking available but parking tickets need to be bought beforehand at the outlets where tickets can be bought from for R50.

Q: What time will the gates open?

A: The gates will open at 1pm and the first act will perform at 2pm.

Q: What time will the event end?

A: The event should end around 10pm.

Q: Which gate must we enter from?

A: The pedestrian gate on President Kruger Street.

Q: Will I be able to buy tickets on the day?

A: General access tickets will be sold at a cost of R300 on the day at the gates, but VIP tickets will not be on sale.

Q: Is The Festival a family event?

A: Yes it is. All ages are welcome to enjoy the music and good food.

Q: Will the area be secure on the day?

A: There will be security services on scene.

Tickets are on sale at St Dunstan’s College, the Benoni City Times and Oasis Water in Oakfields and Rynfield shopping centres at the cost of R200 per person for a general access ticket until May 11.
