So, festivalgoers, let’s learn more about the final addition to the hot line-up.

“I joined the music industry around mid-2016 by DJing at my first club gig in Pretoria,” said the Rynfield resident.

“After having a good first year in the industry, I decided that it was time to take the next step and make 2018 a year all about growth.”

Teddy Tumi is also a former St Dunstan’s learner, alongside Euphonik and Aidin Caye who were also schooled at the college.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to be able to perform alongside some of the biggest names in the music industry so early in my career,” he said.

“Performing at my old high school in front of familiar faces will be the icing on the cake.”

The 22-year-old said he has always been passionate about music.

“I went from being the guy to talk to if you wanted the latest song ‘bluetoothed’ to you, to making CDs and being in charge of the aux and eventually being a part of the sound crew in high school,” he said.

“This involved playing music at school events. One day in Grade Eight, after seeing how much people enjoyed my music at these events, I decided to download Virtual DJ and learn the basics of DJing.

Teddy Tumi said his passion for music and being a DJ is a love in his life because he uses this love to make people dance and forget about any trials they are faced with.

“There is no better feeling than seeing a club full of people going crazy to music that I enjoy and being able to introduce them to new music,” he said.

“Having grown up with a stutter, music has always given me a way to express myself without needing to speak.”

Festivalgoers can expect a set filled with groovy bass lines to warm them up as the sun goes down.
