Free services at Mary Moodley Clinic

Mary Moodley Clinic in Actonville aims to help the community by providing their services free of charge.

On November 4 the clinic held an open day which consisted of a fun walk, led by the SAPS, clinic staff, stakeholders and community members.

The aim of the day was to educate the community about the services offered at the clinic.

These include:

• Antenatal clinic

• Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) and Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI)

• Reproductive health

• Mental health

• Adolescent and youth-friendly services

• Chronic and acute treatment

• TB clinic

• Dentistry

• HIV counselling, testing and treatment

• Rehabilitation services, including occupational therapy, podiatry, physiotherapy, audiology and speech therapy, ophthalmology treatment and optometry.

• School health services

• Mobile clinic (tends to house calls).

The operational manager at Mary Moodley Clinic, Sister Dorcas Mahlangu, emphasised the importance of feedback from the community regarding complaints, compliments and suggestions in order for the clinic to function according to the Department of Health’s vision and mission statement.

The clinic is open every day from 7am until 7pm.
