We need you at the Festival

It is your last chance to buy tickets for The Festival @ St Dunstan’s if you would like to party with DJs and bands who cannot wait to party with you on May 7.

Some of the DJs and bands shared their excitement about the day and why people should not miss this event.

“This event will be history in the making, you do not want to miss it,” said Voltrex.

So what makes this event “history in the making”?

“The artist line-up is amazing and good fun for the whole family,” said Gangs of Ballet.

Good fun for the whole family?

Yes! The music is enjoyable for all ages and there will be a beer market for over 18s, which, according to Moloi.Hesse Band, makes the day a “beautiful fun day, filled with great people, music and food”.

Speaking about music, the MC Bongi and DJ Voltrex have a musical surprise for you, too, on the day.

“I will be performing my new single, collaborated with Voltrex,” said Bongi.

New track, beer stall, good music and food, could this Saturday get any better?

Yes it can!

“I don’t get to play on the East Rand very often, so it should be special and you should not miss it,” said our East Rander, Timo ODV.

Desmond and the Tutus will also be rocking the stage with Indie Rock music.

“And have a good time doing it,” they said.

Are you still indecisive about attending?

DJ Fresh gave another reason to be there.

“Do it! Attend the day in support of local music,” he said.

And, if that doesn’t motivate you, maybe DJ Chunda Munki will.

“I think anyone who doesn’t go will have to deal with a serious case of FOMO! (fear of missing out).”

So if you now plan to attend, here are a few things you may and may not take into the venue:

• You may bring blankets, but you cannot bring your own food or drink, chairs, umbrellas or temporary structures (gazebos etc.), cameras or recording devices (cellphones are allowed), firearms, weapons or any item deemed dangerous to others.

• It is a safe environment against drugs and any banned substance.

Also, artists have set time slots to play, so if you don’t want to miss a single performance, be there by 2pm, as gates open at 2pm and music starts at 3pm.
