Bake a gluten-free cake

Attention all Benoni City Times Mother’s Day Cake Bake Competition bakers.

SA Rice Mills are donating gluten-free flour to the first 25 bakers who want to bake a cake with it.

“We will donate a kilogram per baker,” said chief operating officer Jo Galloway.

“Gluten-free foods are becoming more and more popular due to the amount of people suffering from gluten intolerance and, of course, people with celiac disease (the small intestine is hypersensitive to gluten).”

SA Rice Mills, which is located in Kempton Park, imports rice and mill for supply to the food manufacturing sector.

Contestants who would like a kilogram of gluten-free flour can contact SA Rice Mills on 011 9764723 by May 1.
