Corlea to sing for pugs

The talented singer and patron of Pug Rescue South Africa, Corlea Botha, will perform at a charity concert at Emperors Palace, on June 26, and has invited Jannie Moolman, among others, to perform with her.

They will perform together in order to raise funds for Pug Rescue South Africa and its Thanda Inja Community Outreach Project in the Gabon Informal Settlement in Daveyton.

Pug Rescue South Africa, a registered animal welfare organisation, will share their expertise and resources to assist with over 1000 cats and dogs from the Gabon Informal Settlement, living at the Pug Rescue sanctuary in Benoni North Agricultural Holdings.

The organisation assists these vulnerable animals with veterinary care, sterilisation, feeding and training.

“If it was not for the Thanda Inja project, the dogs and cats in the impoverished Gabon Informal Settlement would have no access to veterinary care and support,” said Cheryl Gaw, president of Pug Rescue South Africa.

“The charity concert guarantees a night to remember with the best voices South Africa has to offer, while at the same time assisting in improving the lives of those who have no voice.”

The show will start at 8pm in the Theatre of Marcellus.

There will be an entrance fee.
