Think before you give

To all the motorists who give the young guys money at traffic lights, your kind hearts are doing more harm than good.

Recently, a young boy was caught spiking heroin behind an electric box in Western Extension, after visiting a drug house in Elston Avenue.

When confronted and asked where he gets the money from, he said “from begging at the traffic lights”.

This money is not for food as there are welfare organisations which feed people.

Other beggars also take drugs.

Please, you are doing more harm than good.

Heroin is a death sentence to these guys and it’s about R200 – R300 every time they “use”.

When you see an animal charity tin or a Child Welfare tin, rather spare a couple of coins for those worthy causes.
