This opening scene from Taken 3 will leave you puzzled but intrigued.

The action thriller is the third and final installment in the Taken franchise.

The central plot of the previous two installments was kidnapping and revenge, and this movie follows the same sequence.

Former CIA member Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) has built a strong relationship with his ex-wife Lenore.

The two have developed feelings for each other, and Lenore’s husband, Stuart St John, does not like the idea of his wife seeing Bryan.

He confronts Bryan and tells him to stay away from Lenore.

Bryan agrees but feels uncomfortable because they have a daughter, Kim, together.

He then receives a message from Lenore, asking him if she can come over.

He agrees and buys bagels from a shop close to his apartment.

When he returns, he finds Lenore unconscious on his bed with her throat slit.

Bryan tries to resuscitate her.

Police officers barge into his apartment telling him to put his hands up.

It looks like a well planned set up and Bryan tries to convince the officers that he did not kill her.

But they don’t believe him.

A high speed chase ensues and Bryan manages to escape.

Inspector Frank Dotzler (Forest Whitaker) is assigned to investigate the murder.

A game of cat and mouse between both characters now takes centre stage.

Bryan is always one step ahead of police as he tries to prove his innocence and protect his daughter.

As the plot thickens, the opening scene with Russian Malankov begins to make sense.

A conclusion is finally reached when a secret life of money, greed and betrayal unravels.

If you are looking for a riveting and action packed 109 minutes, then be sure to watch this movie.
