C Sharp students sing out

C Sharp Music Academy, a singing school in Farrarmere, held its 15th annual concert, at the Barnyard Theatre, at Emperors Palace, on November 1.

They invited children from the various children’s homes across the country to attend their morning show.

The aim of the concert is to give students the opportunity to showcase what they have learned over years of attending C Sharp and to perform on a proper stage, with all the trimmings that the professionals have, such as back-up dancers from Dynamic Dance Studio, costumes, professional lighting, sound and DVD recording.

Lizette de Klerk, teacher and owner of C Sharp Music Academy, said the theme of the concert this year was “Songs from movies”, and each student performed a solo and also took part in group songs.

De Klerk said the Barnyard Theatre is a fantastic and intimate venue and, besides giving the children an amazing opportunity to perform on a Barnyard stage, it creates a very relaxed atmosphere for the audience from whom they received very positive feedback again this year.
