Playing music for a good cause

The Songwriters Attic is inviting animal lovers to be part of their first animal outreach event, which will be held at the Moroccan restaurant Tajine (36 Russel Street, Western Extension) on Saturday, September 6.

Aside from entertaining the audience with great music, the goal of the event is to collect as many pet products, food and blankets as possible.

All these items will be distributed to various organisations around Benoni.

The Songwriters Attic is inviting all songwriters, poets, guitarists, beat boxers, singers, strummers and drummers to join in and help to make this event a success.

It doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned performer or not, as the Songwriters Attic provides a comfortable platform for muso’s to showcase their talent.

“Without the musicians who come and share their music with us and the friends and family who come to support them, these events would not be possible,” said Claudia Cox, of the Songwriters Attic.

“We are always intrigued and excited to see who will be playing. All genres of music are welcome.”

The event kicks off at 2pm.

The entrance fee is R30 and a product for the animals.
