The Benoni Rugby Club’s second team continued their dominance this season, with a 21-7 win over Kempton Park Rugby Club’s second side, at the weekend.

The Kestril League encounter at Hoërskool Hans Moore, on Saturday secured the home side five out of five wins this season.

Flyhalf Nico Goosen came into the side this week and led from the front, scoring 16 points for the day as Benoni led 14–0 by half time.

The backs combined well with the forwards and dominated all 80 minutes of the game, although Kempton scored a late intercept try.

Benoni centre Ruan du Plessis also scored a late try.

Claud Clarke was named Man of the Match.
