No load shedding scheduled –Ehurhuleni Metro
There is no load shedding scheduled for electricity users in Benoni at the moment.
Ekurhuleni spokesperson Themba Gadebe stressed this afternoon (Thursday June 12) that Ekurhuleni has no load shedding plans currently.
He said if Eskom requires load shedding to be enforced, they will inform the municipality, who will, in turn, carry it out.
Gadebe urged people to view the Ekurhuleni load shedding schedule (see attached) in the instance of load shedding.
Eskom said on its website they will only conduct load shedding as a last resort.
People utilising Eksom power, may visit the Eskom website at https://loadshedding.eskom.co.za/LoadShedding/Index for the load shedding schedule.
”We are, however, publishing these schedules to enable customers to be better prepared in the event that load shedding is required to protect Eskom’s national power system,” they said on their website. Ekurhuleni has made a load shedding schedule available on its website.
