Karateka selected for Shotokan world champs

He was selected to compete at the World Shotokan Karate Championships in Liverpool recently

Tyreece Porthen of the Dan Triangle Karate Club won a gold medal at the KWF South African Championship for kumite and received his KWF national colours.

He was selected to compete at the World Shotokan Karate Championships in Liverpool recently.

“We are very proud of him and he has shown diligence and enthusiasm,” said the club’s instructor sensei Chris Anthony.
