Cik downs championship leader

The two leaders will square off again in rounds six and seven at Rover Motocross Track on July 15 and 16.

Rynfield off-road racer Parker Cik finally got one over championship leader Riley Geldenhuys when he won round five of the South African Motocross Championship MX50cc class on June 24 at the Teza Motocross Track.

After finishing behind the East London rider in the first four rounds, Cik finally had his moment when he ascended the podium after a thrilling race at the Richards Bay dirt track.

Geldenhuys settled for the runner-up spot, while his KTM teammate, Dorian Botes, finished in third place.

The two leaders will square off again in rounds six and seven at Rover Motocross Track on July 15 and 16 before the showdown at Chestnut Motocross Track in Bronkhorspruit on November 5.

Cik is also the overall leader of the Northern Regions Motocross Championship, with three wins and a runner-up finish.
