Karatekas dominate regional festival of karate

In a show of dominance, they won 17 gold, 14 silver and seven bronze medals.

The New World Shotokan Karate’s Boksburg and Crystal Park dojos won a combined 38 medals at the Ekurhuleni Festival of Karate Championship.

Senseis Takis Chaniotakos and Louis Ramakulukusha said they are elated with their students’ performance.
They credited their consistency at training as the reason behind their success.

“As our members are showing good results, our aim is to participate at the Ekurhuleni regional trials soon to be selected for the regional team for 2023,” said Chaniotakos.
