Benoni Indians to host baseball showcase

Baseball teams from all over Gauteng will be in attendance.

The Benoni Indians will host a baseball Grand Slam Showcase to kick off the second half of the baseball season on January 23.

The showcase will include junior and major league as well as women’s baseball matches. The new Baseball 5 – a five vs five, five innings street version of baseball – will also feature in the showcase, which according to Clifford White of Benoni Indians, will be the biggest fixture of the year.

“This will be a big day for Benoni Indians as potential sponsors will be hosted on the day to witness baseball and its glory. It will be a fun-filled and action-packed day as all teams from Gauteng will be battling it out,” said White.

The Indians have invited anyone interested in the game of baseball to come and witness the excitement.
“We have had a tremendous response from the community and interest in getting their children involved in baseball and we welcome everyone to be part of the excitement,” White concluded.

The games will start from 09:00 until 15:00.
