The Eastern Storm will return to the oval for the first this week since Cricket South Africa (CSA) postponed round four matches in December after several players tested positive for Covid-19.
The Storm will take on the Northern Cape Heat in the CSA four-day domestic series at Willowmoore Park from January 13 to 16.
CSA had explained that the postponements were as a result of the “competition not being being played in a bio-secure environment and positive Covid-19 results following team pre-arrival testing”.
In their five previous meetings, they have both won one match apiece while they drew the other three matches.
Lying sixth on the log with no wins thus far, the Storm will be hoping for maximum points against a Heat side that’s sitting second on the table.
The match is set to start at 10:00.
