Benoni 100 cricket tournament to award rising talent

The format will also include a plate final where the winners will walk away with R7 500.

The great news is that organisers Brendan Stolle and Shaun Kruger have organised a new cricket tournament called Benoni 100.

“We are super excited with the launch of the Benoni 100 cricket tournament. We need to bring cricket competitions to the East!,” said Stolle

The competition will be hosted at Old Bens and Benoni Northerns during September with the focus being placed on two age groups, u-13 and u-15.

The tournament dates are September 18, 19, 24, 25 with the finals taking place on September 26.

“There are fantastic prizes up for grabs,” he said, “such as the cup winners walking away with R15 000.”

The format will also include a plate final where the winners will walk away with R7 500. Individual prizes include man of the match, MVP of the series, bowler and batsman of the series.

“We aim to make this tournament a permanent fixture which will be hosted twice per year,” explained Stolle.

“The competition must grow. We want to add more age groups when we launch the ‘second innings’.”

There are eight spots available per age group for team entries. To avoid disappointment, enter now.

“You do not want to miss this,” concluded Stolle.

Entries close on September 10. For more information, contact Brendan Stolle on 082 411 6723 or Shaun Kruger on 082 876 7150.
