Benoni club completes the 90km Comrades Marathon

Fifteen runners from Northerns completed the Comrades distance of 90km.

Benoni Northerns Athletics Club recently ran versions of its own Comrades for the Comrades Centenary Hope Challenge.

The club had over 130 members running distances of 10km, 22.5km, 45km, 60km and 90km.

The Comrades Marathon is an ultramarathon of approximately 89km, which is run annually in KwaZulu-Natal between the cities of Durban and Pietermaritzburg.

It is the world’s largest and oldest ultramarathon race.

Fifteen runners from Northerns completed the Comrades distance of 90km.

 

Running the route officially in Pietermaritzburg to Durban were:
