Actonville cricket hopes for a smooth season ahead

The Actonville Spurs Cricket Club is in need of donations and assistance for next year.

Actonville Spurs cricket club recently held its AGM. “The AGM went well, considering we’re in the midst of a pandemic,” said Zunaid Seedat, PRO of the club.

Significant agenda points were:

• Suhail Bhoola will preside as treasurer.

• MS Mehtar will move to the junior coordinator role.

“Mr Bhoola had served previously on the Actonville Spurs Cricket Club executive before being appointed to the EJCCA in the same capacity. We wish both members well,” he said.

The club’s finances have taken a bit of a knock, owing to the cancellation of their planned annual fund-raiser.

“We are actively seeking other avenues to replenish the bank account. Donations are most welcome as we are a registered NPO.

“Those interested are welcomed to contact me,” he said.
