Double trouble athletes complete the Virtual Trifecta

The very first non-virtual race that Huntington and Ceresa will be doing is on October 31.

Recently, Kerri Huntington and her friend, Claudia Ceresa, competed in the Spartan 2020 Virtual Trifecta.

They completed the Trifecta consisting of the Beast (30 obstacles and 21km run), Super (25 obstacles, 10km run) and Sprint (20 obstacles and 5km sprint), all over one weekend.

“We did the Spartan race running around Dowerglen in Edenvale. The run was tons of fun and even though I don’t know where I placed I still had the best time and would do it again,” explained Huntington.

Huntington, what are your plans for 2020?

They will be participating in their first non-virtual race on October 31.

“We will be doing the Spartan Sprint 2020. The virtuals aren’t as nice as being out in the open, with people all around you competing, the noise and laughter. We can’t wait,” Huntington said.

Huntington said the lockdown did not negatively affect her fitness as she remained doing what she loved and remained positive every step of the way.

“My advice to Benonians is not to strive to be the best, but rather to do your best. When you put your heart to something give it everything you have. Don’t let bumps in the road stop you from doing what you love.

“Life is too short to look back,” concluded Huntington.
