130 food parcels for families in Soweto

This gesture was warmly received by community members and reaffirmed the Spanish league’s commitment to giving back to society. LaLiga has always been committed to ensuring community development from a grassroots level in football and beyond. By encouraging skills development through their football programmes, they aim to equip local youth with the tools needed to better their livelihoods and overall well-being.This belief in giving back to those in need is shared by their South African betting partner who gives back to the communities they operate in on an annual basis through their Hollywoodbets My Community Programme.

After identifying this community as an at-risk group, together with our official betting sponsor in South Africa, Hollywoodbets, set out to find like-minded individuals to partner with and develop a plan of action. Together, Hollywoodbets, Atlegang Bana Foundation and LaLiga were able to donate 130 food parcels and 500 face masks, said Marcos Pelegrin, LaLiga South Africa managing director.
