Benoni cyclist raises funds

JackalBerry Challenge cyclist from Benoni, Hannes Jordaan, aka Your Royal Highnes, recently tackled a 24-hour cycle in his garden to raise funds for Ubuhle School.

As the economic pressure of Covid-19 bears down on the lives of ordinary South Africans, the children of Ubuhle Christian School, Farm Vlakfontein and Bronkhorstspruit have also been adversely affected.

As a response to this, one of the long-standing JackalBerry Challenge cyclists from Benoni Hannes Jordaan, aka Your Royal Highnes, recently tackled a 24-hour cycle in his garden to raise funds for Ubuhle School during this lockdown period.

“The children of Ubhule School are in desperate need of assistance as the dire economic impacts of the Covid-19 lockdown adversely wear on the household income of the school and its families,” said Jordaan.

Jordaan is a multiple finisher of the annual JackalBerry Cycle Challenge, which for the past nine years has been dedicated to raising funds for Ubuhle School.Jordaan successfully completed the 24-hour challenge, covering 274km on his mountain bike.
