BCC caddies receive wages for lockdown period

The wages were donated by members of the community in support of the Benoni Country Club closing due to the 21-day national lockdown.

Benoni Country Club CEO and golf director Darren Millington posted on Facebook on March 26 that he was humbled by the kindness of the community.

The post said: What a humbling experience. Thursday afternoon (March 26) all our caddies received four weeks’ of wages courtesy of the kindness of my committee and our awesome members who donated funds to help these guys get through the next few weeks when our club is closed.
