Boxers help Kids Haven

Kids Haven received electrical appliances, food, money and clothes donations.

On December 7, the VIP Boxing Academy hosted a fund-raiser for Kids Haven and raised R12 000.

“I want to thank the community for supporting the fund-raiser.

“In addition, clothes, electrical appliances and furniture have also been donated directly to Kids Haven,” said Harry Ramagoadi-Manaka, owner of the academy.

The event included white collar fights, exhibition fights and serious fights, with Wessel van der Westhuizen taking home the Boxer of the Night trophy and Janine Yon taking home the Most Courageous Boxer of the Night trophy.

Medals were given to all the boxers of the evening.

Harry Ramagoadi-Manaka also had a fight on the evening, he is seen here doing his weigh in.

“I am very happy we could create awareness and assist Kids Haven in such a way that they too can also have a special Christmas,” said Ramagoadi-Manaka.
