Smith finding form ahead of US stint

The talented rider had an up and down season, but has come back strongly in the latter part of the year and is looking forward to the final round taking place on home turf on the 26th ahead of his departure to the Mini O’s.

Slade Smith is building an impressive home-form on the motocross track ahead of next month’s trip to the Mini O’s Thor Winter Olympics event in Florida, USA.

The 18-year-old and Rynfield resident competed in the fifth round of the Gauteng Regional Motocross Championships, at the Terratopia track in Midrand, last week.

He won both the MX2 250cc Class heats in fine style, against tough competition, on his CIT Racing Division Husqvarna, setting himself up for an exciting finale in the National Championship event taking place at Terratopia on October 26.
