LISTEN: Benoni baseball player meets his number one fan

Ebersohn has a fan.

Benonian Rowan Ebersohn recently returned home from a busy month of baseball.

The Benoni Northerns Indians Ball Club player not only played at the u-23 Baseball World Cup in Colombia, but also represented the senior national team in their 5-2 series victory over France where he proved himself as the Most Valuable Player for the South African team.

He also hit the most home runs in the French series and hit the most RBIs (runs batted in).

While meeting with City Times sport journalist Logan Green for a Caxton Radio interview at Benoni Northerns Sports Club on November 16, Ebersohn also met with his number one fan, Farrarmere Primary School’s Noah Erasmus (8).

The youngster keeps track of all Ebersohn’s statistics and regards him as his role model.

Ebersohn gave Erasmus a signed baseball, and posed for a photograph with his young admirer.
