Swimming swiftly at Benoni Northerns Swimming Pool

It was a fun-filled, family-orientated swimming affair.

Swift Aquatics Club, based at Benoni Northerns Swimming Pool, held their Ironman Championship at the pool on January 20.

Swimmers raced each other in the strokes of butterfly, backstroke, freestyle and individual medley.

“The foundation of the event is built on bringing all the club’s swimmers and their families together, to bond as a team while having the element of ‘fun competition’ behind it, said Brigitte Thysse, public relations officer at Swift Aquatics Club.
