Anne Reynolds, captain of BNAC’s walking section, said the walkers continued with league races this year and have done well, sitting in third place in the league.
“Unfortunately, this year saw only three of our walkers going down to do the Blood Buddy Memel to Newcastle 50km Race,” said Reynolds.
“It is my hope that we will have a greater presence in Memel/Newcastle this coming year.”
The following awards were handed out on the evening:
• Golden Oldie Award: Roger Glover.
• Most Improved Walker: Agnes Kirsch.
