Juniors try out at BNCC
Benoni Northerns Cricket Club (BNCC) held their junior trial ahead of the new cricket season on the weekend of August 26 and 27.
Jason Clark, chairman of the junior club, said: “We had a terrific turn out for the junior trials.
“We had around 150 boys down at the BNCC nets over the weekend.
“The committee is hard at work to finalise the teams for the new season that is expected to start in mid-October.
“As soon as we have finalised our teams in the next two weeks, we will kick off with practice and some warm-up games before the season starts.
“We will also be having another u-8 session on September 9 for those players who could not make the initial u-8 trials.”
The session will run from 8am to 10am at the BNCC nets.
