With that in mind, Benoni Harriers Athletic Club (BHAC), Viking Cycling Club and various sponsors will host “The Colourful Run 2017” on the morning of Sunday, September 10 in aid of Kids Haven.
The Colourful Run aims to blend and shape “togetherness” in the community by hosting the event.
Runners start in white attire and revel in vivid colourful explosions.
“With spring and colour in the air, it provides the perfect combination for a day that the whole family can enjoy,” said Ashvin Jivan, chairman of BHAC.
The run will start at 8am at Old Benonians Sports Club at the corner of President Brand and President Boshoff roads, Rynfield.
There will be a 5km route and a 10km race route.
Prize money is up for grabs for the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three junior male and female finishers.
Registrations will be done at Old Bens from 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday, September 9 and from 6am on Sunday.
Pre-entries can be bought at Sportsmans Warehouse and Tour de Frans in Boksburg, at Nanas Sports in Actonville, the Sweatshop in Bedfordview and Mica Stores in Benoni, Brakpan Airfield, Boksburg and Springs.
