Benoni Northerns field named in Ted’s honour
Benoni Northerns Sports Club recognised a stalwart of the club, former chairman and former president Ted Jarvis, by naming the club’s main grass hockey field in his honour on Wednesday, August 9 ahead of the start of the South African National Masters Hockey Tournament.
Jarvis was “speechless” upon accepting the honour.
He has been a member of Northerns for 41 years and in that time he has been involved in the club in various capacities.
