Veteran walks tall

Benoni Northerns Athletic Club’s respected 74-year-old walking champion Sidwell Mhlongo has time and time again proven that age is merely a number.

He won medals for finishing in first place in the recent Gauteng Golden Games and for finishing in first place in the 10km walk at Central Gauteng Athletics’ trials with a time of one hour and 11 minutes.
